Live Talk by Corporate and Publication Unit FMHS: COVID-19: Facts vs Myths
Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS) of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) has initiated a live talk series entitled Health Talk Series (HeTS) or Siri Bicara Kesihatan publicly via online platform on the 26th November 2020. The aim is to align with the aspiration of the university to be a community-driven university in terms of knowledge and technology transfer to the community and encouraging community engagement. This initiative is spearheaded by the Corporate and Publication Unit of FHMS led by Associate Professor Dr. Helmy bin Hazmi. This live talk is made possible with assistance from the Centre for Information Technology Development & Services (CITDS) UNIMAS led by Ts. Alhadi bin Bujang, Mr. Dunstan Dajau Supit from Faculty of Applied and Creative Arts (FACA) UNIMAS and faculty members. The topic for the first session of HeTS was COVID-19: Facts vs Myths, hosted by Madam Rasidah binti Abd Wahab, whereas invited panellists included Professor Datu Mohd Fadzil bin Abd Rahman, Professor Datu Dr. Andrew Kiyu Dawie anak Usop and Associate Professor Dr. Chai Chee Shee. The first session shows solid support from the public with about 1500 participants reached via Facebook live session and about 350 participants watching the session live via Cisco Webex, UNIMAS and FMHS Facebook and UNIMAS YouTube.
